OCN / Canada Land Transfer Agreement
As of the date the Land Code comes into force and in accordance with the Framework Agreement and the Act, (a) Canada transfers the management and control of Opaskwayak Cree Nation lands to Opaskwayak Cree Nation; and (b) Opaskwayak Cree Nation shall commence managing and controlling Opaskwayak Cree Nation lands under its Land Code.
Land Code Amendment 2012
The purpose of this Land Code is to set out the principles, guidelines and processes by which OCN will exercise control over its lands and resources consistent with the Framework Agreement.
Establishing a Land Authority 2012-001.
This "Land Law for Establishing a Land Authority" constitutes the Land Authority for Opaskwayak Cree Nation to administer, monitor, enforce, and assess Ievies, charges of rental or fees; and compliance issues against Interests and Licences located on Opaskwayak Cree Nation Lands as are required from time to time.
Community Ratification Process
The purpose of this document is to set out the procedures by which Opaskwayak Cree Nation will decide whether or not to approve any amendments to the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Land Code and, when required, any other ratification required by Opaskwayak Cree Nation for land related Land Laws, Land Exchanges and any other land processes requiring a ratification vote.
Adding Lands as OCN Reserve
The Land Authority approves and adopts this policy and procedures for processing the additional lands under the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Land Code.
